I recently told my friends about me getting a mac and about 8 out of 10 of them said Macs suck, do they? Or are my friends just retarded?

Answer:I had never used a Mac until 12 months ago and I have to say overall, I would never go back to a PC.

Apart from obviously being much more stylish, Macs are actually MUCH easier to use once you are used to them. You can do things much quicker as they have more sophisticated controls and shortcuts, and they are less likely to get bugs, viruses and be hacked into so are generally more secure too.

They are pricey, but I do believe you get what you pay for.

Being a PC user for 10 yrs I also used to have a 'fear' of Macs, but I think most people just dont understand them and so slate them. If everyone actually tried a Mac out for week, I bet 9 out of 10 people would want to keep it.

Answer:My reason for disliking them so much is that, well… I have four friends that have them, and all they ever say about them is their latest problem or thing they found that Macs can't do, and they come to me begging for help, and there's not a lot I can do. Most programs nowadays are for Windows, and Macs can't run Windows programs. Simple as that. Some of my friends with Macs used Bootcamp to install Windows as well, but I don't get the logic; if they're just going to be using Windows all the time, why not just get a laptop built for it?

Answer:While they are overpriced, I think they are great. I think that one of the reasons that people hate it, is because they have never used one. It's one of those things where people say, "Oh I use windows, therefore I have to hate macs, because everyone else does"

But, that's just my opinion.

Answer:They aren't retarded, but they probably don't know much about Macs and have never used one. They are trying to pressure you into having what they have, or what they know about.

Answer:Many people don't like them due to the price, and also that they run a different operating system, so they have to learn new functions. In the Intel Macs, they can run Windows, though.

Answer:They're overpriced and overrated. But I think the biggest reason people hate Macs are because Apple presents themselves as being so much better than everyone else despite the fact that they are fundamentally an inferior product.
